Ring Road Lot 7

Join us for the Community Walk for Connection, a meaningful event dedicated to raising mental health awareness and preventing suicide at SUNY Fredonia and within our larger community. College life can be stressful, and feelings of loneliness, isolation, and academic pressure can take a toll on mental well-being, but no one has to face it alone. This walk is about building connections, fostering a sense of belonging, and demonstrating our collective commitment to mental health and suicide prevention. Inspired by the work of the Jordan Porco Foundation, we are walking to spread the message that while 1 in 10 college students may consider suicide, 9 out of 10 are here to help. Join us on Sunday, April 6, with registration beginning at 11 AM at Ring Road Lot 7 (Tiered Lot), followed by a Remembrance Ceremony at 12 PM at the Clock Tower with a welcome address by President Kolison. The walk will commence immediately after the ceremony. Get involved by registering to walk, inviting friends and colleagues, spreading the word on social media by following @FSUFREDWELL, or forming a team with your organization or department. To get event-ready, join us for a pre-event Tie-Dye Party on Wednesday, March 26, from 1-4 PM in the Williams Center Blue Lounge/Patio, where event T-shirts will be available while supplies last. Let’s walk together to show that we are here to support one another and create a more connected, caring, and supportive campus community.
